Mix ginger, garlic, red pepper, soy sauce, chili garlic sauce and sugar in a pan and warm to near boiling. Combine broth and cornstarch in small bowl; stir to dissolve cornstarch. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the soy mixture. Szechuan Sauce Ingredients: To make this quick Szechuan Sauce, you will need: Soy Sauce: This will be the base of the sauce.

Instructions to make Schezwan sauce:
  1. For Red chilli paste: Soak the dry red chillies in water for 20-30 minutes. Boil it till the chillies are soft. Now drain the water and make fine paste. For making it less spicy, before soaking in water remove the seeds.
  2. Now In a pan add 3-4 tsp oil. Add chopped garlic and ginger and saute for few seconds, make sure the garlic cloves are not overcooked. Now add salt, sugar, soya sauce and tomato sauce, vinegar and saute for few seconds.
  3. Now add the chilli paste and mix well. Now cover it and keep for cooking for 1-2 minute or until oil is separated from the mixture.
  4. Once oil is separated from the mixture means the sauce is ready. Now switch off the flame and keep for cooling. Store it in a glass jar.

Stir the cornstarch mixture into the soy mixture. Szechuan Sauce Ingredients: To make this quick Szechuan Sauce, you will need: Soy Sauce: This will be the base of the sauce. Sweetener: Feel free to use maple syrup, brown sugar, or whatever your preferred sweetener may be. Cornstarch: To thicken the sauce, if you would like. Chili Garlic Sauce: Or Sriracha, or whatever you have on hand.
