The ingredients needed to make Methi Mushrooms:
  1. Take 400 gms Mushrooms
  2. Prepare 1 cup chopped Methi leaves
  3. Prepare 2 tbsp Oil
  4. Make ready 1/2 tsp jeera
  5. Get 2 medium sized onions sliced
  6. Make ready 1 inch piece ginger/ jullienne
  7. Prepare 3-4 pods garlic/ chopped
  8. Take 1/2 tsp haldi /turmeric powder
  9. Get 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  10. Prepare 1 tsp dhaniya powder
  11. Prepare 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  12. Prepare 2 tbsp Curd
  13. Prepare 1/2 Cup milk
  14. Take to taste Salt

If the curry is too thick, add more coconut milk. Mushroom Masala - a creamy, hearty curry. Mushrooms are a great option for currying. they have a great texture that holds its own in any sauce. Almost meaty they mushroom creates the bite in this dish accompanied by a rich and creamy sauce flavoured by one of the tastiest Indian ingredients - Fenugreek (Methi).

Steps to make Methi Mushrooms:
  1. Add Jeera to the oil and add sliced onions.
  2. Add Ginger Julienne and finely chopped garlic.
  3. Wash the mushrooms and slice them.
  4. I keep chopped methi leaves in freezer.
  5. Saute onions, ginger and garlic till golden brown in colour. Add methi leaves and saute well.
  6. Mix well and saute for 2 -3 minutes.
  7. Add all the dry masalas like haldi, red chilli, dhaniya, garam masala and mix well.
  8. Add curds and mix well on high flame.
  9. Add mushrooms mix well. Add salt once mushroom leaves it's water. Mix well and boil.
  10. Add milk and mix on high flame.
  11. Serve hot with phulka/ paratha. Tandoori roti, any of your choice.
