Instructions to make Ghee Rice:
- Soak basmati rice for 30 mins. Heat the pressure cooker with ghee.
- Add the cumin, bay leaf, kalpasi cinnamon, cloves and then add cashew and kismis and fry till golden. Then add the Onion and chill slits to it.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook till it becomes soft and the raw smell disappears.
- Now add the rice to the mixture and give it a nice stir. Add two cups of water to this.
- Add salt as per the taste. Here I added a little bit too much of salt so to compensate i added a small potato to it. Close the pressure cooker and let it sit for 3 whistles in medium-high flame.
- Take the potato and keep it aside. Tasty ghee rice is ready
